How To Use the Pictures

To download a picture:
  1. Control-click on the link to your screen size under the picture you want.
  2. In the menu that pops up, choose "Download Link to Disk" or similar option.
  3. Note where your browser saves downloads (by default the desktop).
Mac OS X:
  1. In Apple Menu, choose "System Preferences".
  2. Click on "Desktop".
  3. Drag the file you downloaded into the image "well".
  4. Alternately, you can create a folder of images that you like to use. In the Desktop preference pane, click on Collection and select "Choose Folder" in the drop-down menu. Navigate to the folder you have created, and it will become a permanent choice in that menu.
  5. You can also make a screensaver from a folder of pictures. Go to Apple Menu -> System Preferences -> Screen Saver. Click on Slide Show. Click on Configure, and navigate to the folder of images you want to use. Click on Test to see the slide show.
Mac OS 8.5 to 9.2:
  1. Go to Control Panels -> Appearance.
  2. Click on the Desktop tab.
  3. Click "Place Picture..." and navigate to the desired image.
  4. Click on "Set Desktop".
  5. Alternately, you can drag an image into the control panel. You can also drag a folder of images into the control panel, and each time you restart a new desktop picture will be randomly chosen from that folder.
Mac OS 8.0 and 8.1:
  1. Go to Control Panels -> Desktop Patterns.
  2. Click on "Desktop Pictures" in the list on the left.
  3. Set your desktop pictures similarly to the above steps.
Windows


To download the picture you want:
  1. Right-click on the link to your screen size under the picture you want.
  2. Select "Download Link to disk" or similar from the popup menu.
  3. Save to disk.
To set as your background wallpaper:
  1. Place your mouse over the image.
  2. Click on the right mouse button.
  3. A menu window will pop up.
  4. Scroll down and highlight the option "Set As Wallpaper" or "Set as Background" and then use the left mouse button to click on it.
  5. The wallpaper is now installed on your desktop.
